We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our Automation and Digitalization division in Kelowna, BC. As a key member of our regional team, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by collaborating with Operational Management and Sales teams to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Design, program, and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications to ensure seamless integration with our industrial facilities.
- Audit industrial facilities and develop preliminary engineering designs and cost estimates for electrical and control system upgrades, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Design and commission industrial MV and LV electrical power systems, including electrical room design, equipment specifications, motor control, and grounding systems.
- Complete electrical control and instrumentation system design, including P&ID drawings, control system architecture, and instrumentation systems.
- Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages, including electrical and instrumentation drawings, installation specifications, and other supporting documentation.
- Provide project management, leadership, and technical guidance to a team of engineers and project stakeholders, ensuring accurate billing, time accounting, and financial reporting.
- Consult and negotiate with customers to prepare specifications, explain proposals, and present engineering reports, building strong relationships and trust.
- Build, lead, and develop a small team of professionals, including recruitment, selection, training, and performance management, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Network with industry groups and professional organizations to establish the presence and reputation of ANDRITZ AG, promoting our values and expertise.
- Ensure that all activities adhere to the quality standards established by the Company and industry standards, embodying the ANDRITZ values.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years' industrial project engineering experience, preferably in the pulp and paper industry.
- Proven ability to successfully manage and deliver controls and electrical systems projects, with a customer-focused approach.
- Strong business acumen and desire to develop sales, with a passion for leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Comfortable developing relationships and communicating with all levels and departments within a mill, with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada and able to travel to domestic and international sites.
