We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Specialist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient reprocessing of medical devices.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Set up and dismantle equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
- Cleaning and Sterilization: Clean and maintain equipment, and operate sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices.
- Instrument Preparation: Lay out surgical instruments, ensuring they are properly prepared for use.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure medical devices meet safety and quality standards.
- Education: Completion of an Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Work Experience: Experience in a hospital or medical facility setting is an asset.
- Personal Qualities: Accurate, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, initiative, interpersonal awareness, organized, reliability, and a team player.
