Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Processor to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the decontamination, reassembly, and sterilization of hospital supplies, equipment, and surgical instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decontaminate and reassemble hospital supplies, equipment, and surgical instrumentation to ensure they are in proper working order.
  • Perform biological, chemical, and quality assurance testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor or designate.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program.
  • Completion of a Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification or Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and Universal Precautions.
