Senior Manager, Domestic Tax

BDO Canada LLP is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Domestic Tax team as a Senior Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating client business processes and policies, advising on tax policy and changes to meet market needs, and developing proactive tax strategies to make business opportunities effective.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate client business processes and policies to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
  • Advise clients on tax policy and changes to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Develop and implement proactive tax strategies to capitalize on business opportunities and drive growth.
  • Provide technical and project management leadership to team members on Domestic Tax projects or assignments.
  • Build positive working relationships with clients and provide effective support for engagements.
  • Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team.

Requirements:

  • CPA designation and In-Depth Tax Program or Master's in Tax.
  • 7 years' experience in public accounting with a specialization in Tax for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal and trust tax planning and compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
