In alignment with Northern Health's vision for an integrated system of services, the Primary Care Nurse (PCN) adheres to the professional standards and ethical guidelines established by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). The PCN collaborates as part of an interprofessional team, employing best practices to ensure safe, competent, and ethical care for individuals and families across various settings, including clinics, homes, schools, and community environments.
Work ScheduleMonday to Friday, Day shifts - 08:00 to 16:30
CompensationThe updated wage structure is: $55.91/hour.

- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN.
- A minimum of three years of recent clinical nursing experience in primary care or chronic disease management, including experience in patient education.
- A valid B.C. Driver's License.
- Assessment and Intervention - Proven ability to conduct thorough client assessments and deliver nursing care through prescribed interventions.
- Communication - Strong skills in effective communication with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Critical Thinking - Ability to analyze and evaluate data from various sources to solve problems effectively.
