About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at Pizza House. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes to meet the high standards of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality and presentation in all dishes prepared, and ensure that all food is handled and stored safely.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that all dishes are prepared to order and presented in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant, urban area, fast food outlet or concession.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Culinary Specialties: South Indian, East Indian, West Indian cuisine.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
