Job Title: Security Guard

At Paladin Security, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, buildings, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Present a professional and visible security presence at all times.
  • Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises.
  • Ensure the safety and security of clients, buildings, and assets through proactive and reactive interior and exterior patrols.
  • Respond and assist in emergency situations, documenting and reporting any incidents that occur.
  • Investigate routine incidents and provide patient watches as required.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and enforce parking and smoking by-laws as necessary.
  • Be aware of and enforce hospital policies and procedures.
  • Control access to the premises and manage keys as required.
  • Conduct monthly safety inspections and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months of healthcare security experience required.
  • Experience with Use of Force (UoF) in a security environment required.
  • Valid Ontario Security License.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR - Level C certification from a WSIB-approved source.
  • A copy of your immunization records, including Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2.
  • Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Ability to complete extensive patrols and sit/stand for up to 12 hours per shift.
  • Ability to work alone and self-motivated.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written).
  • Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB). Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding.
