About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Director to join our team at the Autograph Collection/Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in downtown Calgary. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives that support the hotel's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that align with the hotel's business goals and objectives.
- Partner with hotel leaders to maintain a positive work environment, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Facilitate open communication among associates, providing guidance and support to resolve staff complaints and concerns.
- Direct and oversee recruitment and hiring activities, ensuring a diverse and talented workforce.
- Develop and maintain training programs that enhance associate skills and knowledge, including anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training.
- Administer performance appraisals and maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and report on hotel compliance with Canadian laws and regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety and well-being among associates.
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform HR decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company HR policies and procedures.
