The Opportunity:

Our Distribution team aims to excel in client engagement within the Canadian insurance sector. We are dedicated to offering a smooth and tailored client experience. Our experienced and reliable team is focused on providing financial service solutions that cater to the distinct needs of our clients. The Associate Insurance Advisor I plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing the agency operations, primarily through the sales and service of Co-operators personal lines products, including auto and home insurance, while also offering basic support for other product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales, service, and profitable growth of personal lines insurance offerings.
  • Provide expert advice and recommend coverage options that align with client requirements.
  • Identify and promote additional products/services that may benefit clients through prospecting and cross-selling.
  • Conduct front-line risk assessments and selections in accordance with underwriting standards.
  • Determine which risks necessitate inspections and may be required to perform these inspections.
  • Meet individual targets related to client service, sales, quality, and productivity.
  • Foster programs aimed at developing multi-client relationships.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns, resolve complaints, and escalate issues as necessary.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Maintain focus and a positive outlook in achieving goals, effectively managing time to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Utilize insights into client needs and situations to identify sales opportunities, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Commit to ongoing improvement and cultivate productive client relationships to exceed expectations.

Requirements:

  • A General Insurance License is required or must be obtained within two months.
  • Compliance with all provincial licensing requirements, including continuing education, to secure and maintain licenses.
  • Preferred experience includes one year in sales and service or related business roles.
  • Familiarity with auto and property insurance products and sales techniques is advantageous.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients' financial and personal information.
  • This position involves direct interaction with clients and/or service providers.
  • A valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurance may be required.
  • Candidates will undergo a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as part of the employment process.
