Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Utility Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the back of house operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load / unload dishes, glassware and cutlery into our top quality cleaning machines/equipment and store clean dishes.
  • Maintain back of house areas including storage rooms, kitchens, utilities, halls, bars and other service areas in a clean and safe manner.
  • Remove food from dishes and place dirty dishes on conveyor belt.
  • Machine wash and mop floors; power wash garbage area.
  • Steam clean and scrub tile surfaces.
  • Pick up and wheel garbage pails from back of house areas to compactors.
  • Load and compact cardboard, tin and garbage into compactors.
  • Comply with AGCO, Provincial and Casino Rama policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Must directly or indirectly provide for excellent employee relations with co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Previous Kitchen Services experience and knowledge of cleaning equipment/chemicals is preferred, but not essential.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull heavy objects of up to 50 lbs repeatedly during the course of a shift.
  • Must be able to constantly stand, walk, bend, twist and be exposed to heat, chemicals, noise, steam, odors and slippery floors.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • French language skills (verbal and written) are an asset.
