The Physiotherapist - Rehabilitation Services Specialist is responsible for managing a caseload of outpatient and inpatient programs at OSMH. This role requires a Master's degree in Physical Therapy and current registration with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of patients with neurological and orthopaedic diagnoses in the acute and rehabilitation phases of assessment and treatment.
- Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team and with community partners.
- Prioritize and organize caseload to deal effectively and efficiently with competing demands.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the needs of patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with best practices.
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current registration with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy.
- Eligible for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
- 1-3 years experience working with patients of various ages with neurological and orthopaedic diagnoses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office software applications.
