Job Summary:
We are hiring a Cashier for our store in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a high level of customer service at the checkouts, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
- Accurately record customer transactions in electronic cash registers, mainline, and self-checkouts.
- Replenish merchandise around the checkout area to ensure a well-stocked and inviting environment.
- Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed, maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
- Ensure Loss prevention best practices are followed, protecting our store's assets and preventing theft.
- Ensure compliance with all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery products.
Requirements:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong customer service skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, up to 24 hours per week.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands of this role include standing and/or walking, bending, twisting, and squatting. You will also be required to lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs) and perform tasks involving firm grasping and repetitive hand motions.
Keyholder Premium:
As a keyholder, you will be responsible for opening and closing the store, ensuring all areas are tidy and secure, and completing end-of-shift tasks. You will also be responsible for receiving deliveries and starting up registers.
