The University of Waterloo is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Graduate Advisor and Program Coordinator to join our team in the Kinesiology and Health Sciences Department. This is a unique opportunity to work with graduate students, faculty, and staff to provide exceptional support and services to enhance the graduate experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate graduate program activities, including course scheduling, thesis proposals, and comprehensive exams.
  • Provide advising and support to graduate students, including degree checklists, financial matters, and academic concerns.
  • Manage the Kinesiology Graduate Student Association (KGSA) and coordinate events, such as orientation and graduate recruiting.
  • Develop and maintain digital content for promotional materials and social media.
  • Collaborate with the Graduate Program Manager and Associate Chair-Graduate Studies (AC Grad) to ensure the smooth operation of the graduate program.
Qualifications:
  • University degree or equivalent education, preferably in Kinesiology or a health-related field.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience in an academic department, with graduate student program coordination an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and confidential information.
