The Mental Health and Addiction Program at Yarmouth Regional Hospital is seeking a part-time physician to work within a collaborative inter-professional clinical team, providing evidence-informed withdrawal management and related mental health and addiction care in an outpatient setting.
The Consultant would provide consultative support to primary care physicians, emergency department physicians, and acute care inpatient physicians in recognizing and managing substance use disorders.
Work hours will be Monday to Friday onsite between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. There may be an opportunity to provide virtual care, which can be explored with further discussion.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-informed withdrawal management and related mental health and addiction care in an outpatient setting
- Provide consultative support to primary care physicians, emergency department physicians, and acute care inpatient physicians in recognizing and managing substance use disorders
- Work collaboratively with an inter-professional clinical team to provide comprehensive care
