We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Fort St. John Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide compassionate patient care and work closely with the care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions for patients in the Emergency Department.
Job Summary:This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing care to patients across the lifespan. You will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions for patients in the Emergency Department
- Work closely with the care team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Participate in discharge and/or care planning, patient advocacy, and education
- Enhance quality of life from the perspective of the patient/family
- Establish, maintain, and enhance therapeutic relationships based on respect
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses and one (1) year recent experience working in a related area of care
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Demonstrated ability in nursing practice related to caring for patients in the Emergency Department
- Demonstrated knowledge of pathophysiology related to common diagnoses
- Demonstrated ability to perform nursing assessments and interventions
