About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our Joint Department of Medical Imaging, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our commitment to clinical excellence.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in general radiography and level 1 CT imaging procedures, with a proven ability to work accurately under stressful conditions. You will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures using digital equipment, ensuring high-quality images and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing general imaging procedures using digital equipment
  • Digital quality assurance
  • Communicating with team members and management personnel, participating in professional development, teaching and educational activities, mentoring
Requirements
  • Registration with the CMRITO
  • Previous General Imaging experience
  • Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
  • One (1) year recent experience in related area of responsibility, required
  • Current clinical experience in general radiography, required
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity towards patients in a challenging situation
  • Demonstrated strong technical skills and image quality
  • Knowledge of basic anatomy and pathology
  • Effective time management skills, ability to organize work, and set priorities
  • Ability to work accurately under stressful conditions
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a supportive team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and recognition skills
  • Commitment to continuing education
  • Excellent teaching skills
  • Demonstrated good work performance and attendance history
  • Effective computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Membership with the CAMRT, preferred
