Job Summary

The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing general imaging procedures using digital equipment, ensuring high-quality images, and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general imaging procedures using digital equipment
  • Digital quality assurance
  • Communicate with team members and management personnel, participate in professional development, teaching, and educational activities, and mentor others

Requirements

  • Registration with the CMRITO
  • Previous general imaging experience
  • Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
  • One (1) year recent experience in a related area of responsibility, required
  • Current clinical experience in general radiography, required
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity towards patients in a challenging situation
  • Demonstrated strong technical skills and image quality
  • Knowledge of basic anatomy and pathology
  • Effective time management skills, ability to organize work, and set priorities
  • Ability to work accurately under stressful conditions
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a supportive team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and recognition skills
  • Commitment to continuing education
  • Excellent teaching skills
  • Demonstrated good work performance and attendance history
  • Effective computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Membership with the CAMRT or OAMRS, preferred
