Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Support Specialist to join our team at Scholars Learning Centre Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide individualized academic support to students in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a Tutor and Mentor, you will work closely with students to help them achieve their academic goals and develop a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality academic support to students in a one-on-one or small group setting.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet the needs of students.
  • Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Collaborate with other educators to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in education.

Requirements:

  • Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a teaching or tutoring environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work during core hours of Monday to Friday, 4-8pm and Saturday, 10am-2pm.
