Career Opportunity: Director of Human Resources

Cape Breton University is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to join its Senior Management Team. The successful candidate will lead the university in promoting excellence and innovation in human resources management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of human resources strategies and policies
  • Provide guidance and support to senior management and employees on human resources matters
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new employees
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources management
  • Proven track record of leading human resources initiatives and projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
