The Opportunity:

Sunwing Airlines is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Lester B. Pearson International Airport in Toronto, ON. As an AME, you will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, system troubleshooting, and defect rectification on our company aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance as assigned by the Supervisor or Aircraft Maintenance Duty Manager
  • Ensure the condition and safety of all Sunwing tools and equipment
  • Maintain the general housekeeping of all Sunwing workspaces
  • Perform maintenance on Company aircraft consistent with standards of airworthiness and quality requirements
  • Carry out aircraft check packages
  • Ensure all tooling required for assigned tasks are in satisfactory condition and within calibration dates
  • Maintain the upkeep and stock levels of all company property and offices
  • Communicate with the Aircraft Maintenance Certifying Engineer to the Supervisor on the status of assigned aircraft throughout the shift
  • Guide Aircraft Maintenance Apprentices throughout their assigned duties on shift

Requirements:

  • Must have completed a recognized apprenticeship program, and/or have at least 4 years' industry-related experience
  • Possession of a Transport Canada AME M2 or E license (Mandatory)
  • Possession of a valid driver's license (Mandatory)
  • Able to successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam
  • Be available to work nights, evenings, and days, including weekends and holidays
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Ability to pass security clearance and obtain the Transport Canada security card with a Driver Airside Permit
