Butcher - Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Butcher to join our team at Pearson's Your Independent Grocer. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our meat department is always stocked with a wide variety of fresh and high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities- Cutting and Preparing Meats: Cut and trim meats to prepare for processing or cutting, and ensure that all products are presented in an attractive and appealing manner.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers on the best cuts of meat for their needs.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure that all products are properly stored and rotated.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean all equipment in the meat department, including band saws, manual cutting utensils, and power grinders.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with frequent standing and lifting
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with frequent handling of heavy loads and standing for extended periods
