We are looking for an experienced Cloud Operations Leader to spearhead our DevOps initiatives and refine our cloud architecture. In this role, you will oversee the management and enhancement of our AWS infrastructure, champion automation projects, and facilitate collaboration between development and operations teams. Your proficiency in AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipeline automation will be vital in enhancing the efficiency and dependability of our cloud systems. Additionally, you will mentor the DevOps team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor the DevOps team, cultivating a collaborative and innovative work environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Manage and execute complex DevOps projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Optimize AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation to meet both development and operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions or similar tools to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps methodologies into the software development lifecycle.
  • Establish and manage monitoring and logging systems such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Implement AWS security best practices, including IAM and encryption, while conducting regular security assessments.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement within DevOps processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps roles, particularly with AWS.
  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial capacity within DevOps.
  • Proven expertise in managing and optimizing AWS services to support operational needs.
  • Strong skills in automating infrastructure management using IaC tools.
  • Experience with automation scripting in languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Proficient in using GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Solid experience with cloud infrastructures.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a successful track record.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with database administration is advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
