About the Role

The CSL Group Inc. is a world-leading provider of marine dry bulk cargo handling and delivery services. As part of its digitalization journey, CSL invested significantly in equipment sensors and telemetry, setting the basis for data-driven maintenance planning. We are seeking a specialist with extensive experience in vessel equipment planned maintenance to help us define and implement our next-generation processes for better managing our assets and increasing the reliability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement rotation schedules of ship personnel in accordance with CSL's procedures, specified experience and qualification requirements, established budget, Collective agreements, and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Consult with internal customers on crewing matters.
  • Provide support and assistance to shipboard senior management in the implementation of the collective agreement, safety, and on-board management.
  • Provide HR support to crew members for any questions regarding work schedule, return to work after injury/illness, discipline, and career development.
  • Responsible for accurate and up-to-date records of shipboard personnel.
  • Work in collaboration with shipboard and shore-based groups in the implementation of CSL's safety culture.
  • Respond to and deal with crew-related emergencies after hours and on weekends on a rotational basis.
  • Monitor and facilitate return to work programs and coordinate the efforts of the crewing team and the CSL risk department to promote return to work.
  • Develop initiatives to improve return to work programs with a view to also reduce "worker's compensation" cost.
Requirements
  • College diploma (DEC) in a relevant field such as Logistics.
  • BAC would be an asset.
  • Relevant experience in crew logistics or logistics.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • Assets: experience in a transportation industry, in HR.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Excellent teamwork.
  • Ability to work in a fast, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to deal with multi-task workload.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in French and English, verbal and written.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ethical and accountable.
  • Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and autonomous.
