Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance on food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Customer Service: Prepare special orders, frost and decorate cakes and baked goods, and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Operations: Operate machinery, organize and maintain inventory, and oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Skills: Attention to detail, accurate, team player, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced bakery environment with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Personal Qualities: Accurate, team player, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
