Ambulance Readiness Technician

At PHSA, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ambulance Readiness Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the readiness and safety of our ambulances and medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sanitize and process critical medical equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Restock supplies on ambulances and maintain stockroom and work areas to maximize resource availability.
  • Perform and document vehicle checks to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Receive and inspect incoming inventory, ensuring that goods are delivered as per specifications.
  • Remove garbage and soiled linens from ambulances and work areas, and perform basic repairs on units.
  • Jockey the BC Ambulance Service fleet to and from service centers for operational purposes.
  • Identify problems and liaise with appropriate staff to ensure quick turnaround of vehicle and equipment to minimize downtime.
Requirements:
  • Grade 10, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Class 5 vehicle license.
  • Ability to communicate and deal effectively with others.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
