Coast Mental Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals with complex needs. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work under the direction of the Program Director and Clinical Coordinator to provide a range of nursing functions and direct care, including psychiatric and physical assessments, crisis interventions, and medication administration.
Key Responsibilities- Provide trauma-informed care to individuals with a history of trauma, addiction, and mental illness
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and provide crisis interventions as needed
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records
- Graduation from a recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurses and ability to maintain full practicing license with the BCCNM
- Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License
- First Aid Certificate and WHMIS Certificate
- Proof of full Covid-19 immunization and Tuberculosis Clearance
- Ability to work with people with complex needs and provide empathetic care
