Position Overview
In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the continuous operation of Critical Facilities, which include data centers, healthcare facilities, laboratories, and emergency service centers. Your primary responsibilities will focus on HVAC systems, while also providing opportunities to enhance your skills in electrical and mechanical systems. We are looking for candidates with a Journeyman HVAC certification who are enthusiastic about expanding their expertise in these domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute repairs, corrective maintenance, and routine installations of Critical Facility infrastructure, primarily concentrating on HVAC systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to HVAC systems, electrical components, and mechanical equipment.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and mitigate potential issues proactively.
- Collaborate with colleagues to devise and implement effective maintenance strategies and protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including tasks performed, parts utilized, and equipment status.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman HVAC certification; technical HVAC certifications or training in HVAC are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, with a solid understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with a willingness to learn and develop in these areas.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to effectively manage maintenance tasks and documentation.
- Flexibility to be on-call or work during off-hours as necessary to address urgent situations or critical maintenance requirements.
- Capability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
