Photonics Architect

At Lightmatter, we are at the forefront of developing advanced chips that facilitate extreme-scale artificial intelligence computing clusters. We are seeking a talented engineer or scientist who is enthusiastic about innovation and tackling complex technical challenges, particularly in the realm of optically accelerated computing.

The Photonics Architect will collaborate with both external and internal teams to bring revolutionary products to market. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge photonics architecture solutions aimed at high-volume production for our clientele. Your engagement with our multidisciplinary engineering teams will involve modeling and analyzing innovative solutions, as well as testing and measuring prototypes to ensure model validation. A profound understanding of silicon photonics process technologies, advanced photonics designs, high-speed electro-optic interfaces, lasers, and 3D integration is essential. Creativity, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills are crucial for success in this position. You may also represent Lightmatter at technical conferences, showcasing our leadership in technology.

Become part of a cohesive team where your contributions will significantly impact the company's success and product development. You will have the chance to construct a novel type of computer from the ground up while addressing groundbreaking challenges. Collaborate with passionate individuals who thrive in diverse technical environments that prioritize innovative ideas.

Key Responsibilities
