As an Oncology Specialist, you will leverage your extensive expertise and qualifications to deliver oncology consultations, patient care, education, and research, particularly focusing on breast and gynecological cancers. Clinical experience in managing these specific cancer types is highly valued.
Candidates should have obtained or be in the process of achieving Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology. Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and compliance with the credentialing requirements of the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer is essential. Additionally, candidates should be eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology within the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. A valid license to practice medicine in Canada is a prerequisite for application.
Successful applicants will demonstrate:
- A commitment to fostering meaningful reconciliation in Canada, aligned with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's recommendations and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
