Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Groundsman/Woman to join our team at David The Tree Guy Ltd. as a Grounds Maintenance Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of our properties, ensuring they are well-manicured and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
  • Tie and secure plants, ensuring they are properly supported and stable.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Cut grass and other vegetation to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Rake and collect refuse, ensuring the grounds are free from debris.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as required.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the visual appeal of the grounds.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, ensuring they receive the necessary care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other machinery.
  • Remove trees and other vegetation as required.
Requirements
  • Provincial licence/certification to apply chemical fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
