Job Title: Household Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Household Assistant to join our team at Barber Private Household. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our home, as well as providing exceptional support to our family.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Laundry and Linens: Launder clothing and household linens, distribute clean towels and toiletries.
  • Kitchen and Bathroom: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Trash and Recycling: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Shopping: Shop for food and household supplies.
  • Windows and Walls: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Changing Rooms and Showers: Clean changing rooms and showers.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Setting: Work in employer's/client's home.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check required.
  • Transportation/Travel: Public transportation available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, reliability, honesty.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, permanent position, 30-35 hours per week, English language.
