Job Title: Household Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy Household Assistant to join our team at Barber Private Household. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our home, ensuring that all areas are tidy and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all areas of the home, including floors, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Perform laundry and ironing duties, including washing, drying, and folding clothing and household linens.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, as needed.
  • Prepare and serve meals, as required.
  • Assist with household errands and tasks, as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our household members and guests.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a household or domestic setting an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Working Conditions:

  • Work will be performed in a private household setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Public transportation is available.

Language: English

Work Term: Permanent

Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week
