Job Overview

RPI SYSTEMS LTD is seeking a skilled professional in the field of fire protection and sprinkler installation. This role requires a solid educational background and relevant experience to ensure the safety and efficiency of fire protection systems.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to less than 5 years in a related field.
Key Responsibilities
  • Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment.
  • Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping systems and fire protection equipment using both hand and power tools.
  • Install valves, alarms, and associated equipment.
  • Utilize soldering and welding equipment to join pipes and piping sections.
  • Service and repair existing sprinkler systems.
  • Oversee and guide other workers in the installation process.
  • Conduct system tests for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment.
  • Maintain and clean pipe units and fittings, ensuring systems are flushed properly.
  • Cut openings for pipes in walls, floors, and ceilings with appropriate tools or machines.
  • Install necessary supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required specifications.

Work Environment

This is a permanent position requiring 30 to 40 hours of work per week, conducted in English.
