Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Gameplay Innovation to join our team at zeroG - AI in Aviation. As a key member of our creative leadership, you will be responsible for defining and refining the overall vision for gameplay mechanics, ensuring an engaging experience that captivates players.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the Creative Vision: Develop a comprehensive understanding of gameplay design principles and emerging trends in the video game industry, aligning with the overall artistic and narrative vision of our projects.
  • Lead the Game Design Team: Inspire and motivate a team of talented designers, providing clear direction and a unified vision for gameplay, while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Design Immersive Game Mechanics: Create innovative and engaging game mechanics that integrate harmoniously with the narrative and aesthetics of our games, ensuring a seamless player experience.
  • Collaborate with Management Teams: Work closely with management teams to ensure gameplay consistency and excellence across all aspects of our games, driving results-oriented decision-making.
  • Conduct Gameplay Analyses: Conduct in-depth gameplay analyses and user tests to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, informing data-driven design decisions.
  • Ensure Effective Communication: Foster transparent communication and effective collaboration with other departments, including art, programming, and storytelling, to ensure a cohesive and engaging player experience.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven Experience: Demonstrate proven experience as a Game Designer or Game Director, with specific expertise in gameplay design, and a solid understanding of game design principles and emerging trends in the video game industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Exhibit excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team, driving results-oriented decision-making and innovation.
  • Passion for Gaming: Demonstrate a passion for video games and a commitment to artistic and storytelling excellence, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
