About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at JPS Tiles and Renovations Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all tile installations meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Mortar and Adhesive Application: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels, following established procedures.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place, apply pressure to affix them to the base, and align and straighten tiles to ensure a seamless finish.
  • Obstacle Navigation: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, demonstrating attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Grout Application: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Tile Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, adhering to safety protocols and quality control standards.
  • Mosaic Tile Installation: Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in tile installation or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a regular 40-hour workweek.
  • Proficiency in English as the primary language of communication.
