Position Overview

The Marketing Communications Manager (MCM) will spearhead the marketing communications strategy for our law enforcement and waste management sectors, ensuring that all external messaging aligns with our brand identity, vision, and corporate objectives. The MCM will gain in-depth insights into market trends, competitive landscapes, and target audience profiles to devise and implement creative marketing initiatives that stimulate demand for our offerings.

In this role, you will outline and communicate multi-channel promotional strategies that support both business unit and corporate objectives, collaborating closely with creative and production teams to generate content while ensuring synergy with Sales, Product Management, and Operations teams. Your established expertise in marketing and leadership will be crucial in developing effective, data-driven marketing initiatives that yield measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and accountability for the formulation and execution of marketing plans for the Law Enforcement and Waste Management sectors, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Design and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns targeting key audience segments to drive consistent growth and meet revenue targets.
  • Craft clear creative briefs and campaign strategies to support content creation for various communication channels, including social media, email, print, online advertising, video, public speaking, corporate blog, website, trade shows, and events.
  • Oversee campaign deliverables and timelines to ensure all materials are produced on schedule and within budget.
  • Manage and coordinate marketing communications projects, public relations, and external messaging.
  • Contribute essential marketing outputs, including market research, sales support materials, advertising strategies, and promotional tactics for new product launches.
  • Oversee budget management and project planning for major trade show participation.
  • Assist in maintaining updates to the corporate website and community portal.
  • Support company-wide brand consistency and corporate style; ensure adherence to brand guidelines among dealers and business partners.
  • Negotiate media and vendor contracts, recommending optimal channels for promoting Safe Fleet products.
  • Collaborate with PR firms and target media outlets to enhance visibility for Safe Fleet products and services.
  • Ensure compliance with the annual marketing budget and expense approval processes.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate marketing program effectiveness and present results during team meetings.
  • Supervise and guide the activities of Marketing Interns.

Salary Range: $73,000 - $90,000/year

Qualifications

  • Proven self-starter with over 5 years of experience in marketing communications management, preferably in a technology B2B context; experience in Law Enforcement or Waste Management sectors is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficient in researching, drafting, and presenting marketing proposals.
  • Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple projects and demanding schedules.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with strong persuasive and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and excellent people skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid passport required for occasional travel between the US and Canada.
