About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Swim Instructor/Lifeguard. As a key member of our aquatic team, you will be responsible for providing swimming lessons and lifeguarding duties at our four pool locations.

About You

You will be a team player committed to community, courteous and effective with the public, and enjoy working with a diverse group of people. You will ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our customers by providing swimming lessons and lifeguarding. Your strong communication skills will help you instruct aquatic programs to all ages and special community groups.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Current Standard First Aid
  • Current CPR-C
  • National Lifeguard Pool Option (NLP) current within two (2) years
  • Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor current within two (2) years
  • Lifesaving Instructor (LSI), must complete within 6 months of hiring
  • Ability to work two shifts per week preferred

All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a requirement of the position and must be prepared to work at any of our facilities.

What We Offer

The hourly pay rate for this unionized position ranges from $31.97 per hour (2024 rates), plus 12% in lieu of benefits. This is an auxiliary position with varying hours including days, evenings and weekends.
