Primary Responsibilities:
- Utilize internal systems to manage inspection files effectively
- Coordinate appointments with clients for property assessments (approximately 10% of time)
- Travel to properties to conduct risk assessments (approximately 50% of time)
- Document findings through photographs, measurements, and evaluations of safety features such as fire prevention systems and heating equipment
- Engage with property owners to gather historical data and address any inquiries
- Compile comprehensive reports using internal systems, detailing construction specifics, risk evaluations, and estimated replacement costs (approximately 40% of time)
Accountabilities:
- Ensure reports are accurate and free from errors or omissions
- Contribute to the overall revenue objectives of the team
- Continuously enhance your expertise to assess more complex properties
To Property Owners:
- Deliver professional and courteous service to ensure positive experiences
- Provide valuable insights and services within your area of expertise
Qualifications:
- Educational background in insurance, construction, or engineering is advantageous
- Familiarity with building codes, fire safety, and maintenance practices is beneficial
- Proficient computer skills, including database management and report writing
- Effective communication skills for customer interactions and documentation
- Previous experience in underwriting assessment or the insurance sector is preferred
- Fluency in both English and French is required or desired
