Job Overview

The Core Network Engineer will be responsible for Eastlink's mobile core infrastructure. This role requires collaboration with the team and other departments to deliver projects, ensure system operation, and participate in the design of future systems and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain mobile core infrastructure
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver projects and ensure system operation
  • Participate in the design of future systems and technologies
  • Support a broad range of technologies, including EPC, IMS, and 5GC architectures
  • Develop and maintain scripts and programming skills
  • Work with IP networking, VoIP, and DNS systems
  • Use packet analyzers like Wireshark and cloud systems like Openstack

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in IT/Telecom
  • Background in mobile core networks, telecom signaling protocols, and IP networking
  • Certifications like CCNA are an asset
  • Scripting/programming skills, familiarity with languages like Javascript
  • VoIP background, experience with SIP
  • Maintaining DNS systems, experience with Bind
  • Working knowledge of packet analyzers, web development background
  • Experience with cloud systems, containerization technologies
