Job Summary:
The Lead Cashier is a key member of the Home Depot team, responsible for ensuring a seamless customer experience in the front end of the store. As a leader, you will be accountable for motivating and guiding the team to consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Sales and Promotions: Stay up-to-date on current promotions and communicate store objectives to the team, ensuring they are aware of sales and promotions to effectively direct customers.
- Train and Develop Team Members: Supervise and train Cashiers and Lot Associates, setting clear performance expectations and providing on-the-job feedback to ensure they meet the highest standards.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Ensure efficient front end and remote cashier operations, providing outstanding service to both internal and external customers.
- Manage Customer Complaints: Handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and fairly.
- Maintain a Safe Working Environment: Follow all safety policies and standards, reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager On Duty, and working safely to prevent accidents.
Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of motivating and developing team members.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Knowledge of Store Policies: Have a thorough understanding of all policies, procedures, and duties related to customer transactions, cash handling, and the service desk.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business.
