About the Role

Inviro Engineered Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Site Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting visual inspections of mechanical building systems in the commercial/retail industry, analyzing and diagnosing issues, and providing technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel and Inspection: Travel within the GTA and across Canada to visually inspect mechanical building systems, including HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Analysis and Diagnosis: Analyze and diagnose issues with mechanical equipment, and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.
  • Site Visits and Meetings: Conduct and attend site visits, including site verifications, inspections, and meetings with clients and stakeholders.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to clients and stakeholders, including reading and interpreting product specifications and building codes.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed and accurate reports and document inspection results.
Requirements
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic: 313A designation is an asset.
  • Refrigeration/HVAC Journeyman Certification: Red Seal certification is an asset.
  • Gas Fitter 1 License: License is an asset.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Post-Secondary Education: A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline is required.
  • Knowledge of Building Codes: Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Building Code Act, and other applicable legislation/construction standards is required.
  • Computer Skills: Experience with computer systems and software, including Office Suite, is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years' experience in the commercial/industrial sector is required.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others is required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Confidentiality: The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact is required.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to perform required duties and work in all weather conditions is required.
