Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational/Physiotherapy Therapy Assistant to join our Parkstone Enhanced Care Team in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and administering individual and group physical therapy sessions
- Assisting residents with therapeutic intervention programs, such as range of motion, progressive resistive and stretching, ADLs
- Documenting resident progress and care plans according to policy and procedures
- Maintaining equipment inventory and assisting with department audits, cleaning, and inspections
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma from an approved college or a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology. Previous experience working in a long-term care environment is an asset. You should have knowledge of basic resident care practices and principles, as well as a passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
