Position Overview:

The ideal candidates will be part of our dynamic teams, focusing on the evaluation, quantification, and documentation of claims associated with:

  • Construction delays, disruptions, acceleration, and termination claims
  • Productivity assessments, manpower, and resource evaluations
  • Claims related to differing conditions, change orders, and alternative design
  • Course of construction claims
  • Direct and indirect damages, general contractor costs, overhead expenses, and escalation

Qualifications:

The successful applicant should ideally have 5-7 years of experience in claims evaluation, complemented by foundational field experience in project management, construction estimating, and schedule management across various sectors including commercial, industrial, infrastructure, institutional, and ideally, oil and gas projects.

Technical Skills:

The candidate must possess a strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), and construction contracts along with their interpretation. Proficiency in standard Microsoft software, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6/P3 is essential. The ability to communicate effectively through detailed report writing and graphical presentations is crucial. A comprehensive understanding of AACE Recommended Practices is required, and experience as an expert witness, along with relevant professional society memberships, is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

The applicant must be a resident of Canada and hold a degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is critical for this role.
