Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to our store team, ensuring that we meet our sales and customer service targets.
- Inventory Management: Work closely with our replenishment team and office manager to manage inventory levels and ensure that we have the right products in stock.
- Fleet Management: Collaborate with our Fleet Coordinator to manage our delivery fleet, ensuring that safety protocols are followed and customer issues are resolved.
- Change Management: Lead change management initiatives in the store, implementing process improvements and alternative solutions to support the business.
- Recruitment and Development: Participate in the recruitment process of new store associates and coach and develop associate performance through one-on-one mentoring and goal setting.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote safety in the store by actively participating in Health and Safety events and collaborating with our safety team.
- Operational Experience: 5 to 10+ years of operational management experience, preferably in a retail or building supply environment.
- Fleet Management Experience: Experience in fleet management and shipping is an asset.
- Business Acumen: Ability to navigate and manage high-pressure situations by seeing the bigger picture and implications of their decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, associates, and other stakeholders.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, with a focus on developing associate performance and promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
