Job Summary

LISA TRANSPORT INC is seeking a skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Install and configure local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade web server hardware and software to ensure smooth operation.
  • Hardware and Software Evaluation: Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to meet business needs.
  • Security Measures: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect company assets.
  • Network Maintenance: Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures and maintain control records.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
  • Network Setup: Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet to support business operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Work Conditions: Work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, initiative, judgement, team player, dedication, and a strong work ethic.
  • Work Term: Permanent position with 35 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
