Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with clients and prospects, and develop strategic plans to drive sales growth.
  • Account Management: Manage a portfolio of existing clients, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Sales and Marketing: Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth, including cold calling, warm calling, and prospecting.
  • Proposal and Presentation: Prepare and present professional and competitive proposals to prospects, detailing coverage and services offered by CMB Insurance Brokers.
  • Service and Support: Provide excellent service and support to clients, including claims handling, policy administration, and renewal management.
  • Team Support: Actively mentor and support team members, ensuring they have the knowledge and expertise needed to succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • Level 2 Insurance Agent: Must hold a valid Level 2 Insurance Agent designation.
  • CIP or CAIB Designation: CIP or CAIB designation or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 3-7 years of experience as a Sales Executive in a similar role, in an independent commercial insurance business environment.
  • Team Environment: 3-5 years of experience within a team environment in a customer sales and marketing position.
  • Computer Skills: Experience with Acturis, Microsoft Office Suite, or comparable computer systems.
  • Commitment to Learning: Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, including insurance courses/certifications, e.g. Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB)/Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary Education: Preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary education and an outstanding personality.
