Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Community Liaison Specialist to join our team at the Low Threshold Methadone Clinic in Vancouver, BC.

The successful candidate will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide advocacy and liaison services to clients with complex health and psychosocial issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen clients for eligibility and link them to internal and external resources
  • Advocate for clients with community and government agencies
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Completion of Grade 12 and a Social Services Certificate from a recognized college
  • 1-2 years of experience working with marginalized client populations
  • Valid BC Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of community resources and services
  • Knowledge of related issues facing clients with HIV anti-viral therapy
  • Working knowledge of social, emotional and health-related problems of the client population
  • Ability to keyboard 5,000 keystrokes per hour
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
