Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Clinician to join our team at BioScript Solutions. As an Infusion Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch patient care services in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer specialized IV and injection therapies to patients.
  • Receive and review physician's orders to ensure accurate and timely care.
  • Perform patient assessments to identify and address individual needs.
  • Initiate IV lines and perform phlebotomy as required.
  • Provide patient education and support on medication management and self-injection techniques.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities to stay up-to-date on best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration in good standing with the provincial licensing body.
  • Training and experience in the preparation and administration of medications via all routes.
  • Excellent intravenous skills and ability to work with CVADs.
  • Current BCLS certification and ability to read and interpret technical instructions.
  • Experience in biologics/infusions is an asset.
