About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director, Engineering to join our team at Index Exchange. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision and strategy for our engineering organization, while also leading and developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a technical vision and strategy for the engineering organization, aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage multiple cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations, to deliver high-quality products and services.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to establish a clear roadmap for the engineering organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical excellence.
  • Develop and implement processes and practices to improve engineering efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including product leaders, engineering teams, and other business partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development and engineering.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development and engineering leadership, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality products and services.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing multiple cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations.
  • Strong technical expertise in software development, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and align technical initiatives with business objectives.
