Background of the Role:

Business Division: GTA – GBME FICC & Equity Trading

Project Overview: This initiative is part of the XVA team, focusing on a counterparty credit risk trading platform. The objective is to modernize the existing platform by upgrading from Angular 7 to Angular 17.

Purpose of the Request: New requirement arising from evolving business needs.

Typical Responsibilities:

The primary role of a Developer involves designing, developing, and implementing applications using modern languages and technologies (e.g., the latest versions of Angular) to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate complex business requirements and produce technical specifications to design or redesign intricate software components and applications.
  2. Serve as a technical expert for modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks, applying industry best practices to design, test, implement, and support solutions.
  3. Ensure that quality, security, and compliance standards are upheld in the designated area.
  4. Exhibit flexibility and thrive in a dynamic environment, adapting to changes promptly and positively.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI Development using Angular (version 14 or higher is mandatory).
  2. Proven hands-on experience in designing, developing, and successfully deploying large-scale projects from inception to completion, with a strong background in iterative and agile software development life cycles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in upgrading projects from older Angular versions to newer releases.
  2. Background in Capital Markets, particularly in derivative trading.
  3. Familiarity with AG Grid.
  4. Experience with tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence.

Soft Skills:

  1. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with individuals at various levels of technical understanding.
  2. Ability to analyze complex situations and problems, conducting thorough research to develop innovative solutions.
  3. Proficient in resolving technical challenges and comprehending intricate details.
  4. Good judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for problem-solving.

Distinguishing Factors:

  • Contributions to open-source projects and a Git repository showcasing personal projects.
  • Experience with top-tier banks or Tier 1 companies.

Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required.

Candidate Evaluation Process:

  1. First round – Virtual meeting for introductions followed by a coding assessment with screen sharing – 45-60 minutes.
  2. Second round – Technical interview with the development team – 60 minutes.
